Logistics & Expectations

Masterclass Outcomes

You will leave this private session with a definitive, repeatable framework for shooting in complex lighting conditions. Beyond immediate confidence navigating your camera's manual settings and filter systems, you will walk away with an enhanced artistic eye for composition and water movement. Most importantly, you will have a set of high-resolution RAW files from our field session, coupled with the exact post-processing blueprint required to transform those frames into gallery-quality prints.

Weather, Light, & Rescheduling Policy

True landscape photography thrives on dynamic weather. Our sessions proceed through overcast skies, coastal mist, and breaking storms, as these conditions frequently yield the most dramatic light. However, safety and exceptional image-making are always the top priorities. In the event of heavy, non-stop downpours or dangerous surf conditions, we will collaboratively reschedule your session to an optimal backup date. Chris maintains a dedicated level of schedule flexibility for private clients to ensure your field experience takes place under the best possible sky.

Extended & Custom Multi-Day Experiences

Looking for a deep-dive immersion? For photographers traveling to California or those wanting to master multiple distinct environments, Chris curates custom multi-day itineraries. These extended masterclasses can seamlessly bridge a coastal sunset session in Malibu with a deep-desert astro workshop in Joshua Tree, or a multi-day trek into the Eastern Sierra. If you would like to scale your session into a multi-day custom masterclass, simply note your vision in our inquiry form.

Post-Processing Instruction

Up to 3 hours of private post-processing guidance is included, delivered online after the session. Instruction covers Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop workflows customized to your skill level, including:

  • RAW file optimization

  • Clean editing principles

  • Stacking for tonal recovery and depth

  • Luminosity masks and blending methods

  • Image finishing techniques

Note: If you want only field instruction, try NiSi Starter Sessions, available in 1- or 3-hour slots during golden hours.
