Logistics & Expectations
Session Outcomes
You will leave this targeted session with a clear, practical understanding of how to control light using modern optical glass. You will gain the confidence to analyze a high-contrast landscape scene, determine the exact filter combination required to balance the exposure, and execute flawless long exposures with crisp clarity. You will walk away with a memory card filled with beautifully balanced raw files, ready for your home editing workflow.
Weather & Environment Policy
Outdoor landscape sessions run in almost all weather patterns, as dramatic skies and shifting marine layers often yield the most spectacular landscape frames. In the event of dangerous surf conditions, heavy blinding downpours, or zero-visibility fog, your session will be collaboratively rescheduled to the next available clear sunrise or sunset window.
Extended Photographic Experiences
For creators looking for a deeper immersion, custom multi-day field expeditions are available statewide—including the rugged cliffs of Big Sur, the alien expanses of the Mojave Desert, or the alpine landscapes of the Eastern Sierras. Reach out directly via our contact framework to build a custom travel itinerary.

“I just picked up photography and wanted to learn from a professional so I found Chris and booked a photo shoot at the beach to learn how to get that flowing water at sunset. I met Chris 2 hours before sunset and went over some basic camera functions and settings. He also taught me how to plan for a location to shoot, clouds, and tides. He is a master at his craft and is a very good teacher. He was on time, professional and friendly....”
