Locations are tailored based on your preferences, skill level, weather, tides, and seasonal conditions. Chris’s 37+ years living in Southern California means he knows the best spots within an hour of Los Angeles. Custom sessions farther afield are available upon request.

Curriculum

Beginner to Intermediate

Strong fundamentals are key to growth. Topics include:

• Manual Mode shooting and the Exposure Triangle (aperture, ISO, shutter speed)

• Metering and exposure techniques

• Simplified composition strategies

• Camera settings and menu navigation

• Use of ND, polarizer, and graduated filters

• Workflow hacks and shooting tips

Advanced

For experienced photographers, advanced lessons focus on:

• Exposure bracketing and blending

• Focus stacking for enhanced sharpness

• Creative blending to realize artistic vision

• Weather, light, tide, and surf tracking

• Advanced composition for depth and interest

What to Bring

• DSLR or mirrorless camera with lenses (wide angle and telephoto recommended)
