All Day Workshop

Spend 12 immersive hours with Chris Crosby for private photography instruction in the field. Together, we’ll explore changing light, diverse environments, compositions, and essential skills designed to elevate your photography throughout the day.

Booking and Scheduling

Transportation

Meet at a designated location. Transportation to, from, and during the workshop is not provided unless pre-arranged.

Locations

Locations are customized to your creative goals, skill level, weather, tides, and seasons. Based in Los Angeles with 4 decades of exploration of experience, Chris can guide you to the best spots within a 6-hour radius or beyond with custom planning. California’s varied landscapes and national parks offer endless options.

Curriculum

Beginner to Intermediate

• Manual shooting and the Exposure Triangle (aperture, ISO, shutter speed)

• Metering and exposure techniques

• Simplified composition

• Camera settings and menu navigation

• Use of ND, polarizing, and graduated filters

• Workflow tips for easier shooting

Advanced

• Exposure bracketing and blending

• Focus stacking for improved depth and sharpness

• Creative blending techniques

• Weather, light, tides, and surf tracking

• Composing with depth and visual interest

Results and Expectations

Chris aims to expand your camera and filter knowledge to help you capture richer images. With ongoing practice, you’ll gain confidence and stronger skills.

Weather Policy

Workshops usually proceed regardless of weather, except heavy rain. Rescheduling options available.

Extended Experiences

Custom, immersive photography experiences available throughout California and beyond (Yosemite, Big Sur, Eastern Sierras, Mojave Desert, etc.). Contact Chris to plan your ideal session.

Post-Processing

Up to 3 hours of private post-processing instruction via internet included. Customized for your skill level using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Topics may include:

• RAW file enhancement

• Clean editing techniques

• Stacking for noise reduction and depth

• Luminosity masks and blending

• Final image finishing
