Fall Carpet

There are moments while exploring the Eastern Sierra where the world feels perfectly arranged. "Fall Carpet" was one of those finds. While wandering through a grove of aspens, I came across this stretch of grass completely transformed by a thick layer of fallen leaves. The afternoon sun was playing "peek-a-boo" through the canopy, hitting the leaves at just the right angle to make them glow like embers. It felt less like a forest floor and more like a carefully laid tapestry.
